Hi David, there is a known issue currently with our older connections page not allowing connections to be removed. At this time, I suggest you move over to our new "contacts" experience. Members are not reporting any similar issues with the newer contacts page. Additionally, the new contacts page incorporates your connections and your address book in one place. Here's a link with all the details: http://contacts.linkedin.com/

Thanks. Is there any way I can just transfer my connections over to the new contacts feature. I do not want Linkedin trying to import my contacts from my email address book.

There are at least THREE ways people remove connections now,
One or more may work for you at a time, is my observation.
If you have a NEW toolbar with the word INTERESTS:

    1) NETWORK on toolbar
    CONTACTS
Search for person above while in CONTACTS,
    check box for person
MORE while in the person's record.
    REMOVE CONNECTION

    2) Search box to go PROFILE
    Go to PROFILE of person.
Next to SEND MESSAGE click arrow (triangle)
REMOVE CONNECTION is one choice in drop down menu.

    OR with old toolbar

    3) CONTACTS on toolbar
    CONNECTIONS
Choose person. Upper right: REMOVE CONNECTIONS.

    4) If none of these work, try NOT choosing a person
to remove in step 3 until AFTER clicking REMOVE CONNECTIONS.

    Click REMOVE CONNECTIONS.
    Then CHOOSE PERSON.

Will the connection know if I removed them?

        1) there is no communication to them. HOWEVER

        2) they will see you are no longer on their list of connections IF they look or may see you as second or third degree elsewhere on LinkedIn.

I guess I can add them again as a 1st connection and then they will be at the bottom of my list?

"Connections will not be notified that they've been removed from your connections list. Only the member who breaks the connection can reinitiate that connection. They will be added to your list of contacts in case you want to reinvite them later."

You must REINVITE them so they will know at some point you deleted them.

AND, I don't know how the code works, it might not put them at the end, it all depends how the code is written.

Thank you. But is it true a new connection is appended to the bottom your connection list?

Can you undo or remove a recommendation or endorsement? Before deleting the contact? If so how?

          Removing a Skill Endorsement
How do I remove an endorsement I gave?
          Last Reviewed: 02/24/2013
To remove an endorsement of someone's skill:

          From your connection's profile,
move your cursor over the + sign
next to the skill name. If the skill
is one of the “most endorsed for…”
          skills, a “remove endorsement” link
          will appear.

Click it to remove your endorsement.
If the skill is under the “…also knows about” area,
simply click the + sign after hovering your cursor
over it. Your endorsement will be removed.
          Note: You cannot remove your
          endorsement for suggested a skill
until after they've added it to their profile.
Also note that the recipient will not be
          notified of the removal.

Does anyone know how Linkedin automatically accepted an invitation? I for sure know I didn't, as I wasn't even on the site, yet received an email telling I was now connected. I sent a reply email, but find this completely unprofessional for a business site. No one wants to remove a connection. I simply like to have people on my site I know and do business with. The invitation is still showing, as a request to be accepted or ignored, but the site went ahead and made the connection... Any ideas?
