Whenever someone asks for your LinkedIn address you should give them your LinkedIn "public profile" link.

If you have not already created a custom "public profile" link, you should go to your LinkedIn "Edit Profile" webpage, scroll down to the line showing your current "public profile" link and click the "edit" link (pencil icon).

A custom "public profile" link is much easier to remember, and it looks good on not only an email signature but also a business card and resume.

Hi I can see the button you mean and have chosen the button of choice to put on my email sig. I have copied the data to make this happen but what do you do with it?

@Victoria - Once you have your public profile link and/or HTML for a profile badge you need to go to your email client and create a custom email signature. Since each email client is different, you will need to click on the "Help" for the email client to get details on how to create a custom email signature. That is your job.

I am trying to access "Who has viewed my profile" but I don't know how to find it. It pops up occasionally, but I'd like to review it at my discretion. Any suggestions?

@Cynthia - Your current public profile link is as follows:

        http://www.linkedin.com/pub/cynthia-goehring/8/b0b/799/

By the way, did you know that you can create a custom link for your "public profile"? Just go to "Edit Profile" and then click on the "edit" link next to your current "public profile". You can create a "public profile" link like the following:

        http://www.linkedin.com/in/cynthiagoehring

It is much easier to remember, and it will show up on Google.

While you are at it you might also want to create a custom "Profile Badge". You can get the HTML for a custom LinkedIn "Profile Badge" at the following:

        http://www.linkedin.com/profile/profile-badges

Also, you might be interested in downloading an ebook on the topic of using LinkedIn. The authors have opted to giveaway one million copies of the ebook version of their book titled "How To REALLY Use LinkedIn". The ebook is 248 pages and available at the following:

HOME PAGE / SCROLL DOWN / look at RIGHT to see it.
        click in blue number.
The time period you see on the "Who's Viewed Your Profile" section on the right side of your homepage may vary based on how many people have looked at your profile in the past several weeks. If your profile hasn't been viewed in the past 90 days, the section won't appear.

If you are in your profile, your current public profile URL is on the URL box BEFORE a ?

And it is also on your profile near the under the number of connections on right or just under your photo in left.
